Couture Kids | Bal Harbour Shops, FL

Project Overview

New Interior Built-out Construction for the Couture Kids brand south Florida location. The children’s retail store, location on the third floor of the Bal Harbour Shops consists of 715 square feet retail and 240 square feet stock room, storage, and staff bathroom.

Project Details

The interior build out consists of the demolition of the existing store and construction of new flooring, walls, ceiling, electrical, mechanical, fire sprinkler, alarm systems, and coordination of the owner supplied furnishing and displays.

Project Challenges

The Bal Harbour Shops required the noisy construction activities such as demolition, pneumatic device attachments, electrostatic painting to be completed with mall non-operating hours.

The shops growth and continual upgrades during the project duration required all materials and supplies to be dropped off prior to mall opening. Dumpster were not permitted, and all debris was removed by truck or trailer within a two-hour period in morning.

The Bal Harbour Village  also restricts construction work hours due to the surrounding residential communities.

The Bal Harbour Shops opened in 1965, is a luxury shopping mall that is home to the world’s most famous and luxurious fashion and jewelry brands and draws comparison to New York’s Madison Avenue and Beverly Hill’s Rodeo Drive.

The Shops are organized along a linear central atrium and set in an open-air tropical landscape, on the west side of Collins Avenue and within walking distance to downtown Surfside.
